Jiacheng Li is professor of the School of Education Science, East China Normal University, and a research fellow of the Institute of Schooling Reform and Development. His research areas are school reform, school life and student development, and parent involvement. He is the director of the Department of Student Development and School Life Research of the Center on New Basic Education. He is the author of Caring for Life: School Reform in China (2006), and the co-author of School Leadership Reform in China (2007) and School Life and Student Development (2009).
YuHua Bu is a Professor and supervisor of doctoral students at the School of Education Science, East China Normal University (ECNU). She is also a Research Fellow of the State Key Liberal Arts Base on Institute of Schooling Reform and Development, the Director of the Center on New Basic Education, and Associate Dean of the Department of Education at ECNU. Her primary research interests include fundamental theories of education, basic education reform and development, and ethics of education. She has published several books: The Historical Development of Chinese Teachers in the 20th Century, Classroom Life and the Cultivation of Public Spirit, and Research on the Core Ideas of Curriculum.
