Professor Ruth Deakin Crick and Learning Power
While in Adelaide recently, PBA FM’s Tony Ryan interviewed Professor Ruth Deakin Crick from the University of Newcastle about her work on the UK-based Effective Lifelong Learning Inventory (ELLI) project, and about learning power in the context of schools, the workplace and for lifelong learning. The seven dimensions of learning power were then identified. The interview ended with her comments on what makes an effective 21st century learner. Professor Deakin Crick was in Adelaide to address a group of 130 teachers in Adelaide. See below for a link to her powerpoint presentation. Dr Deakin Crick is also a Senior Research Fellow in the Graduate School of Education at the University of Bristol in the UK.
